BA/MA in Economics at Hunter

The BA/MA program in economics provides economics students at Hunter College to, not only obtain BA and MA degrees in an accelerated fashion, but also to enhance the types of technical skills that are highly valued in private and public sector work environments and at graduate programs in Economics, Public policy, Health, Development and Law.  The accelerated BA/MA in economics offers students at Hunter College the opportunity to earn both BA and MA degrees in roughly the same time that it takes to earn a BA degree. The degree program consists of a minimum of 120 credits, of which at least 95 are undergraduate credits and 30 are graduate credits.

US Car giants lobby the White House (and pawn the shop)

From the BBC Mr Bush met bosses from DaimlerChrysler Ford and GM, all struggling against Asian rivals, to discuss concerns over growing imports and health costs. The companies, which spend more on health costs than on steel, want action to combat the weak Japanese yen. The Financial Times adds: Toyota's report last week of record third-quarter profits has fuelled the Detroit carmakers' accusations that Japanese and South Korean exporters are benefiting from currency manipulation by their governments. The three companies' chief economists met senior US Treasury officials recently to underline their concern.
